When I print document, it is followed by a page listing: filename, directory, template, title, subject, author, keywords, comments, creation date, change number, last saved on, last saved by, total editing time, last printed on, as of last complete printing - no. of pages, number of words, number of characters. Is there a button or something I can change to prevent this from happening? I do not need that information

That info is coming from your printing software, whether it's word. or office, or other word processing software. Your printer just prints what it is told.

Hi there!
The issue that you are having is because of the settings on your Microsoft Word. Here's what you can do to resolve the issue.
  1. Open the document you want to print on Microsoft Word. Click on the Orb icon on the upper left hand corner which is also called the Office button.
  2. Click on Print and click on Print again. The Print window should be open by now.
  3. On the lower left hand corner of the print window you will see the options button. Click on the Options button. You should now have the Word Options window.
  4. On the Word Options window. Click Display from the Left panel, you should see Printing Options.
  5. Make sure that under Printing Options only Print Drawings created in Word is Checked and leave the others unchecked. Click OK. Click OK again. This should print your document without the other page.
Hope this helps! Have a Good day!

My HP printer is printing out an extra page with each print job. The extra page contains information...almost like a status report...it contains information such as filename, directory, template, title...

You need to check the mode your printer is printing in. It may be in diagnostic mode. Another reason for having an extra page with info. is the page isn't setup to print all info on one page. Run your setup allignments and testing options to get it all on one page. Hope this helps. -Jennifer

If you are using Microsoft Word, click Tools and then Options.

Once the Options windows pops-up, click the Print tab and UNCHECK Document Properties.

Document properties - Prints the document's summary information on a separate page after printing the document. Word stores summary information on the Summary tab (File menu, Properties command).

When I print a page another page prints with filename, directory, template, title, subject, etc...how do I turn this off? Thanks

Youre probably using Microsoft Word. If so click on file, print , options, and de-select the tick by"document properties". That will solve your problem.

Prints a decription of my print job on one page ... additional unwanted page.

It sounds like you are printing from Word 2007. Go to the Office Button, Print, Print, Options and under "Printing Options" uncheck the "Print Document Properties" box.

Printer problem

Well ... it sounds like you are printing from Micro$oft Word (or similar) and have the print options set to print the document properties.

If using MS Word, select "OPTIONS" from the TOOLS menu. click the 'Print' tab and unselect 'Document Properties' in the include with document section.

Cheers!
