Ive been trying to update our s30 3d with the new 2009 map udate dvd.
The product key is useless, it comes up with "failed to check the activation upgrade"
The piece of paper which comes with the dvd told me to remove the old maps, wait 5 seconds and reconnect, Select My Maps, select the regions wanted and install the maps.
I now have NO maps on my navman, I cannot select any maps from the dvd, the UK maps are locked and asks for the product key to get them.
When I enter the product key the map on my pc screen jumps to Australasia! and it still wont install anything onto the Navman.
I now have a useless navman and a useless map update dvd.
I will never buy a navman again.
You should be able to install your old map from the DVD/CD that originally came with your Navman - you don't need a Product Key for this, even if it prompts you for one.
It appears that the commercially available 2009 map for the S-Series does *not* cover the S30 3D, just the non-3D versions, although that's not at all obvious from what's on Navman's web-site, so you have my sympathies if you bought it expecting it to work...
