Our PLD4375RFC2 dishwasher fills up with water but doesn't run

Our PLD4375RFC2 dishwasher fills up with water but then stops. Nothing sounds like it if even trying to come on. Presumably the next thing that is supposed to happen after the water fills up is that water is pumped around the dishwasher and the "water spouts" spin. None of this happens. It is completely dead inside the washer. The timer keeps going down, but nothing happens in the dishwasher. The water and power are both obviously working, and none of the tubes appear kinked. I think that at the end the pump does not pump the water out either. Is there some kind of fuse inside the washer that runs those things, but not the timer?

No their is no fuse. sound to me like your motor is not working, however
the pump should still drain out.push cancel only and unit should drain if it does then id say motor bad. you can try to take apart and check motor blade ive seen toothpics, food , other objects hold motor impeller from turning making it seem like its the motor but actually its just stuck..remove btm wash arm and filter cover thentake two or 3 small screws from a plastic cover covering motor impeller, look to see if anything is in their if so remove. warning if you see a white ball down their leave it alone reinstall and see what happens. hope this helps.

I am having the exact same problem. Except I have a model FDB221RFR2. I did as you said and found nothing in the moter. It moved freely. I put it all back together and still nothing. How hard and expensive is it to replace the moter?

My Samsung DW7933 doesn't fill. turn it on, it sounds like its filling, the lights are on the control panel yet nothing happens. No water goes in, the lights stay on, and ...nothing. Any ideas?

If the water valve is clogged or defective, water will not flow into the dishwasher. Water inlet valves are not repairable—if the valve is defective, you must replace it. Over time, calcium deposits can build up in the water supply valve or in the small filter screen inside the water inlet valve.

Dishwasher begins to fill then stops with no further progress.

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on hoe you`ve described the issue with your Asko, initially it sounds like a faulty inlet/water fill valve...

But, I`d like to clarify the symptom first. Does the unit complete the fill cycle and then do nothing, or it just energizes the fill momentarily then does nothing ?

Also I will ask to verify the model is an Asko 1375 ?

I`l watch for your reply.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

DIshwasher stopped during wash and won't run or drain.

Sounds like a drain motor startup capacitor, or stuck pump. Try disconnecting power and turn the water pump manually. Some disassembly required. Then after a few good hand spins replug and try again.

Bosch SHU3036UC/U11 dishwasher does not stop filling with water

Hi,
It sounds as if the main program board has developed a fault - as it should come to a complete stop. The fact it kept the water valve open with the door open is a serious fault- so I would have it checked before using it again.

Most machines have a water-stop feature - so if it develops a leak - it will shut off the water. This clearly didn't happen.

Whirlpool Model DU1145XTP89 It fills with water, arms turn

The clicking sound could be coming from an internal relay since you don't think it is coming from inside the machine.

Water does not fill .

chances are, your water switch is stuck..
its the thing inside the dishwashe that kinda looks like a plastic mushroom.. (its a float)
sometimes they get corroded with excess detergent.. wiggle that up and down some to free up the float and it just might fix your problem.

Water fills up dishwasher after complete maybe a day or two later

Sound like the hot water sonenoid is stuck in the open position. Locate this solenoid and tap it lightly with a small hammer while the hot water is open. If it does not stop it will beneficial to have this part replaced. I hope this will help.

Unit never washes...

Check water level:
Run the DW and wait for the main wash to start (water will fill. pause then complete fill) The water should be about 1/4 to 1/8 inch below the heating element. If not there..replace water inlet valve.

Won't start

It sounds like you have a food blockage or some blockage between where the water fills up and where it goes into the pump you need to take out the water wand (the rotating thing with water coming out) only the bottom one. You need to unscrew the water wand and make sure nothing is blocking in there.

If not then check your filter which should be next to the water wand remove it and then clean it and make sure nothing in in there to block water getting through.
