Resetting the air filter timer

Hi, I cleaned the air filter on the Hitachi CP- RX60 projector and followed instructions on the resetting of the timer. Using the remote it jumps (in the menu) out of the cancel mode to sub menu and it will not let me high light the reset. There is no reset on the projector itself. How can I clear the air filter message when I start up the projector?

    I do not have amanual for the projector. Can you describe the steps in resetting the bulb and filter timer? It appears to be working fine, but the temp and lamp lights remain on. I pulled up the menu and found the screen that lists the lamp and filter time. Both state 107 hours. thanks

Hiya there, just worked out how to reset the filter timer so for those that need to know here's the solution;
Bring up the menu and go right the way down to "Option" where it shows you the lamp and filter hours.
Next highlight/select the filter timer section and while its on there hold the RESET button on the remote for 5 seconds.. this then pops up with a resert option and hey, 0h again, good as new! :-)
Oh and if you dont have a remote, just hold the right arrow button instead for 5 seconds in place of the reset and follow instructions as above!
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Omar.

Under Advanced go to filter time.

The filter time is the time counted after the last resetting. It is shown in the OPTION menu as the use time of the air filter. Performing this item resets the time.

Pressing the RESET button on the remote control or the button > on the projector for about 3 seconds displays a dialog to make sure. To perform reset, poing at RESET using the UP ARROW button

Ok, don't know about the CP-s225, but the CP-RX60 (and CP-RS55). I find it easier not using the remote but the Menu button and the cursor keys. 'menu', then work your way down to the 'reset / Filter Time sub option' option in the 'easy menu' and when you get to the Filter Time option press the right cursor key and keep it held in until the reset menu appears (it needs holding in for 5 - 10 seconds before the reset menu will appear. its more or less the same procedure for the lamptime and filter time but i think the lamp time is only accessible through the 'Advanced menu' which again you select via the cursor keys at the bottom of the easy menu. Apologies if this sounds a bit naf, it what i can remember off the top of my head but the key is holding the right cursor key down for longer than one click.... Hope this helps

Depress the RESET button for at least 3 seconds while lamp time is being displayed. The reset menu will appear. After you replace the filter, select RESET on the menu.

Projector Reset

Hi Here is the info for you :: Caring For The Air Filter The air filter should be cleaned about every 100 hours. If the indicators or a message prompts you to clean the air filter, clean the air filter as soon as possible. If the soiling will not come off the air filter, or it becomes damaged, then it needs to be replaced. Please replace the air filter as soon as possible. memoWhen you replace the lamp, please replace also the air filter. Turn off the projector, and unplug the power cord. Allow the lamp bulb to cool for at least 45 minutes. Apply a vacuum cleaner to the top of the filter cover and the air filter to clean. If the soiling will not come off the air filter, or it becomes damaged, it needs to be replaced. If the air filter needs to be replaced, contact your dealer to prepare a new air filter. Tell the dealer your air filter type. Turn on the projector power, and reset the filter timer. (1) While the projector running, press the MENU button to open the menu. (2) Choose the ?OPTION? on the menu using the / button, then press the button or ENTER button. (3) Choose the ?FILTER TIME? using the / button, then press and hold theRESET button for 3 seconds. (4) Choose the ?RESET? using the button. memo Incorrectly resetting of the filter timer (resetting without replacement, or neglect of resetting after replacement) will result in incorrect message functions.
