Why does my oven burn everything even at lower temperatures? Even at temperatures between 300 and 400 degrees my oven burns everything well before they're supposed to be done.
The temperature dial also will not turn past 400 degrees, even when the other dial is on broil.
Are the oven temperatures set wrong? Is the top element coming on even when on bake?
Use a 'oven thermometer' in the oven and determine the 'actual temperature' in the oven. Your knob setting is off (not calibrated) and the oven is hotter than the control knob setting.
