Try the compatibility troubleshooter under windows settings. You should be able to run the program for the version of windows that supported the original release.

It might not be necessary- I'm assuming that you've installed it and it doesn't work.
If you right-click on the icon that launches the program and select Properties, you will be taken to a box with lots of options; one of which is "Compatibility".
Tick the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" box; then in the dropdown list select an operating system that you know the program does work with. Start with XP and work backwards to older OS versions if that doesn't work.
