I have a 2008 kia optima LX and at 20,000 miles the check engine light came on. I had it checked at autozone was told the code was P045 and P046. They asked if I put gas in the car recently which I did and told me the gas cap was not put on properly they turn the check engine light off and the very next day while driving it came back on. Now I have to to take time out of my day to schedule a service appointment at Kia and have to wait a week to be seen. : (

replace your gas cap and clear codes, then wait and see if light comes back on, if it does you have a more serious problem like a fuel tank leak or a defective fuel tank pressure sensor.

Sorry the codes are P0456 P0442. I went back to auto zone they asked the me the same question about just getting gas.
those are not valid trouble codes, not enough numbers should have 4 numbers and the letter "P" PXXXX
