What does code E-4 mean on the hour meter of my 1 year old cub cadet tractor mean?

On my Cub Cadet Systems Indicator Monitor/Hour Meter LCD, it shows 131. Printed below the LCD readout is HOURS 1/10. What does this mean? Surely it does not mean my hours of use is 1310?

no.. how long have you had this machine... less than a year..do you not mow very much?? I have a CC... I think it means you have operated 13.1 hours. (1/10 of an hour is 6 minutes.)

What does the blinking h on the cub cadet hour display mean?

What it is and what it means is absolutely nothing. What it was suppose to mean is time for service when flashing but it has never worked and there is no way to reset. So that being said, if you are having it serviced every so often (25 to 50 hours) depending on the type usage just don't worry. It truly means nothing. Hope this helps you.

I have a 2003 Cub Cadet 7254 Compact tractor with very low hours but meter has taken a crap and can't read it anymore. How can I get the meter to show/tell me or am I out of luck?

You can replace the meter but there is no way to get the hours back on there. Sorry.

check the clutch on the end of engine drive shaft it is the same as a car air con clutch put power on to it and it should click so most likely the wire from switch to clutch

How do i reset the change oil light on a 1040 cub cadet 1000 series

The Service Monitor meter contains a service minder function that utilizes the 4-digit LCD display. The letters "CHG" will display followed by the letters "OIL" and then followed by the meter accumulated time. "CHG"/"OIL"/TIME will alternate on the display for five(5) minutes after the meter reaches 50 hours. The display will also flash as described above for five(5) minutes every time the tractor has been started during the maintenance time interval. The interval will occur every 50 hours and will be in effect for two(2) hours ( Example: this feature will display from 50-52 hrs., 100-102 hrs., 150-152 hrs etc...). While the LCD is displaying the "CHG"/"OIL"/TIME letters, the red LED "oil symbol" will also be flashing for the entire five(5) minutes. The meter display will return to normal function automatically after the reminder maintenance time interval of two(2) hours.There is no method of manually re-setting this Service Monitor gauge.

I HAVE A CUB CADET GT2542 RIDING MOWER. I CHANGED THE OIL AND FILTER AT 95 HOURS. AT 100 HOURS THE OIL CHANGE SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON. HOW DO I RESET THE LIGHT?

There is no way to reset it. It will stay on until the hour meter reaches 102 hours and then the light will go out

SOURCE: oil light blinking

Screw a test gage in the engine where the electric sending unit is. Check to see what the pressure is cold and after it is warmed up. It may be a bad sender.

SOURCE: Cub Cadet tractor failure to move

Check the bypass for the transmission, make sure it is in all the way, if it is, check the belt from the engine to the transmission, make sure the belt tension spring is riding on the belt and that the belt is tight.
