Sms hi my name is niti i am using an i phone in muscat, oman. my sms is jammed, nor can i receive new sms or send. as soon i open my sms, it closes again. i also cannot hard reboot by phone since i have paid to break the lock/ sofware so that it can be used in oman. best niti

    My sms box is blocked with 2 messages,therefore I still receive but couldn't delete and send too,would u help me to solve that

    maah sms box is nt opening ..... wenever i try 2 open... it closes again....

    hi guys.. i have the same problem.. in fact it happening with any application i try to open it goes back to the main screen...

    any solution beside formating and unlocking the phone again...

Guys! i fixed my sms crash thanks to nad. my sms has been down for a week now finally...all it was is changing the dates coz anything greater then the 12th of anymonth screws something up.

first u have to try and delete all your sms's by either keep trying to enter the sms app where u can edit and delete the messages, or go to reset phone.
if that doesnt work you will have to 'erase all content settings'. thats going delete all contacts, music, pictures, movies ect.. from your phone. it wont delete any programes so its a good idea to save your music and stuff on itunes, and just use the SIMPORT app on your iphone if you have it to copy the numbers on ur phone from the sim, i guess thats all i have to say for now.

if there is anything else i felt that researching ur iphone problem on google can be very helpful even though people are trying to explain using jargon. all the best iphoners!

Hi guys... its me again.. i found the solution for my sms crash.. earlier i installed mobile enhancer... which i removed from my iphone and my sms crash problem is being solved.. one more thing... i had to set the date back to 10 jan 2008 cuz any thing greater than jan 12, 2008 waz troubling...

please uninstall mobile enhancer (if installed) in your iphone.. this worked for me... may be for you too...

Solution of Problem (Cannot send sms)
I hope you can receive text sms. We have never come across sending and receiving text messages problems related to handset. If you can receive, then you can send them, except your messages settings. I don't understand when you say "Warid" anyway, if you haven't reset the phone to it's factory default, please do it now using the code 12345 (i hope you haven't changed it, if so, use your code). Go to settings > Restore factory > Ok and enter the code 12345 when you are prompted. Your phone will automatically restart after it is reset. Now try sending a text message once again. If this doesn't help, then follow the instructions below;
Go to Messaging > Options >settings > text message > message center (note the message center in use as soon as you open the "text message") then highlight the message center name which is in use, select it and check the center number (you'll need to refer to another sim card's message center with the same service operator). [also set "reply via..." as "no" and "delivery.." as "maximum..."] If it's different, then make the changes and save it. Now restart your phone and try sending the text message again. If the problem still persists, it's from the service provider, call the customer care of your network operator and tell them your problem, they'll help you fix it.

Try the following steps. I fixed the same problem on my E71 with these.
1. move the sms which can not be sent into the draft box.
2. switch the phone to offline mode.
3. enter draft box, and send the sms
4. after the notification of "saving into sending box..", power off the phone.
5. turn on the phone again, select "no" for the question, then, wait several second, u can see the sms is sent.

Incomming sms is not received in nokia 6030
Hi
there are only settings on the phone that will stop sending of messages, settings will not stop the receiving of messages (unless their mms - picture messages). I would suggest you speak to your network as it maybe something on your account at their end that needs fixing?
Incoming mesages (sms) are directed at your mobile number so the phone will receive them as you do a call.

Imate jama i can't make outgoing calls please could u help me
Hi, i just bought a new imate Jama.....but the problem is that this phone cannot make outgoing call when using an Airtel card, prepaid or postpaid..i tried 15 diff. Airtel cards). The phone is able to receive calls, send and recv. SMS and also use gprs. Only it cannot make outgoiing calls. It gives some beeps and cuts off !!! (This is in chennai India)

Iphone SMS problems
I found this solution posted as comment on this clip:

This following solution was suggested on youtube, it worked for me. There is one negative point about it: ALL YOUR OLD MESSAGES WILL BE DELETED
If you delete your sms.db file (located in: var\mobile\library\sms) it fixes it, you can open and send\recieve sms. i think the only permanent solution is to upgrade to 1.1.3 with itunes and start again (im asuming u got the bug using ziphone, i did). i installed isms as a backup sms service incase it stops working, which it does often. you cant look at recieved messages, but good for sending sms if sms.ap is playing up
