Where can I find a firmware upgrade for my DWL-G730 AP router?

Where can I find a firmware upgrade for my D-Link router DWL-G730AP for the H/W rev. H1? The firmware I found does not match the H/W rev. Thx.

    Well - thanks for your help so far. But it's not working :-(
    I tried every firmware which I could find on the d-link site and always get the respond: "The version of setting file is not compatible".

    by now the firmware version 1.02 is installed. The product number of the router is EWLG730EEUH1.

    do you have any idea?

yes u can just use the same range ip address for both device like 192.168.0.1 for dlink and 192.168.0.2 dor airplus.

I can't connect to my DWL G730 AP's webinterface. I already resetted it, but when I try to connect to http://192.168.0.30 through my Webbrowser, nothing happens. I already tried everything, I just can't...
Check that you are connecting with the right Ethernet cable to the AP, and verify that your PC is set to "Automatic IP Address".

Then from Start -> Run Command -> CMD.EXE type the command, "ipconfig" and press ENTER. The system will report the true current IP address for the LAN interface (not the Wireless one!). This should be in the same network of 192.168.0.something.

If it is not, try manually setting the IP address (right click on the LAN icon in the bottom right tray bar area, choose Status -> Properties -> scroll down to TCP/IP Protocol -> click Properties -> enter "Use the following IP address": 192.168.0.2, netmask 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.0.30, no DNS (it won't work anyway). Approve all changes and try again connecting.

If it still doesn't work, try pinging it from the CMD.EXE window (type the command PING 192.168.0.30 and press ENTER). If it says, "timeout" and zero packets received, there's something wrong in the G730 itself (unless it's the cable). If it does work, your Internet setup is screwed, maybe you have a proxy configured or the antivirus is interfering, and you need to fix that condition before retrying.

DWL 2700 AP wrong firmware install
hi...
since you upgraded a different firmware try updating the firmware again with the correct firmware if it works fine if it doesnot then the router had gone bad,,
and for GeminiBS reset the router to the factory default since the firmware was not done in a proper manner may be it had interruptions..once the hard reset is done the computer is restored back to the default so that you can use the device..

G730AP does not have correct IP
The address 169.254.xxx.xxx is a private network address. This means it is not connecting to anything.

Normally to do a proper hardware reset you will have to remove powere to the AP, press the reset button in (hold it there) then add power while still holding the reset button for 10 seconds after power is applied.

Do not put too much pressure on the reset button, it will break off inside.
After that, allow around 60 seconds and see if you can connect to it now. If not, then go into the properties page of your wireless card and set the IP info manually.

Set it to say:
192.168.0.2
255.255.255.0
192.168.0.30

DWL 2100AP problem
If you can get into the built in webpage to upgrade firmware I would suggest upgrading it. Sounds to me like corrupted firmware. If you can I would return the device. I had a similar issue with a linksys AP and I found out that the Firmware was scrubbed. Had to send it back to the manufacture.
