How do I reset my garage door opener. It is a Coromaster 2000 motor. The closing and opening setting are out and the motor only stops due to resistance.

The Coromaster 2000 does not operate off limit switches. It has a quarter-revolution optical pulse counter. To re-program the open and close limits do the following: Ensure that the door is open at least a couple of feet. Press the reset button once or twice Short out pushbutton and common and hold until close limit and then release. Door should stop at your new close limit. Wait 5 seconds. Short out pushbutton and common and door will open. Hold the short until open limit and then release. Limits should now be set.

There are probably switches mounted to the rail that the door linkage runs on. Try moving those to wear you want the machine to stop when the carriage hits them, and make sure the wires from those are connected to the garage door opener power unit.

All garage door openers have a disconnect lever or handle at the point the carriage connects to the door bracket. Pull it down and lift the door by hand,

Coromaster garage door motors limits

When in doubt, Google it. If this gear attaches to a chain, it gets a little difficult to keep the chain in control. Usually parts like this are held in place by a set screw, requiring the correct allen wrench. Working this stuff up on a ladder is no fun.

This unit is only available in South Africa, and we are a North American website which is probably why help was not forthcoming in 2017.. There is some general help here though for setting travel limits.

I have a Coromaster Mach2 garage door opener. How do I code a second remote? Thanks

This appears to be something made in Africa. I suggest you call around locally. We don't seem to have any around here.

Door will not close with remote.

The code you are seeing with 5 blinks is "RPM sensor or motor overload." We can eliminate the motor overload because the door is trying to close. The RPM sensor is a small printed circuit board just in front of the motor. It's a snap to replace and is available at any good door opener company. They will know exactly what you are talking about if you ask for an RPM sensor board.

Garage door close but motor keeps running

The close setting limit switch needs adjusted. Once it is adjusted it should work just fine.
