Try repairing it with your WinXP-CD.

Or read [THIS] and try all the steps there.


It's an error with the winlogon prob and easiest is to repair or reinstall XP with the installation-cd. But if you want to try to fix it by going through the registry and using Dr.Watson. Just do as the link above says.

Click on my computer.
Right Click on the C: drive.
Choose Properties.
Tools tab.
Error checking: Check now.
Choose automaticly fix file system errors.
Start, Yes, OK, Reboot the PC.
On boot a blue screen will launch and run for 5 - 20 minutes.
It wll reboot into windows when completed.

The first thing you should do is back up the HDD, Remove the HDD from your Laptop, you find the lid that opens the HDD access slot under the laptop or ask someone who knows how. if available there are aftermarket 2.5 HD enclosures that lets you install the 2.5 in.hdd of your laptop via a usb. you can plug the usb to a desktop PC and backup your files. then reformat your hdd. reinstall the hdd to your laptop. replace your memory ram which causes the blue screen with a new ram, reinstall the OS.

u don't need to format it yet, a blue screen of dead(BSOD) with the error stop: c000021a shows that a file supporting the os is either corrupted or there is a hardware problem on the motherboard so try removing the hard drive and put it back. if that does not work then u will have to format the machine by putting in your os bootable cd in your cdRom and to the cemos setup and change the bootsequence boot first from the CD ROM and then restart ur machine to boot from the CDROM. then u can try formating ur machine hen it boots from the CDROM.plz let me know if it works

Blue screen c000021a fatal system error
usually blue screen comes from unstable video memory or windows system or HD.
you may try
1) reinstall windows
2) change another HD to install windows
3) change new ram memory or change memories slot between one and another
if not fixed, to be sure your video memory damage which is insualted on board(separated with RAM), only the hardware repair can be fixed.
