To print onto a printable disc, place it on the disc tray supplied with the machine, then insert it into the machine.
This procedure also applies to printing from a computer.
NOTICE: Do not attach the disc tray until the message asking you to load the printable disc is displayed. Doing so can damage the machine.

  1. Detach the disc tray from the cassette (upper).
  2. Holding both sides of the paper output tray (A), gently open it.
  3. When the message asking you to load the printable disc is displayed, open the inner cover (B) and push it down all the way to the bottom.
  4. Place the printable disc with the printable surface facing up.
  5. Attach the disc tray to the machine.
  6. (1) Place the disc tray on the inner cover.
    (2) Insert the disc tray straight until the arrow () on the inner cover is almost aligned with the arrow () on the disc tray.

Yes it is possible, Just have to make the appropiate adjustments to your printing software so that you will print on the sticker area. I have printed labels for like book without a problem. Just need the adecuate label sheets and configuration.

SOURCE: getting "inner cover is open" message

The inner cover is a flap on the inside in front of the carriage when it is at rest when the cover us open. You had to flip the inner cover down to access the ink cartridges.
Open the cover. The inner cover is in the center and need to be flipped up.
Good luck.

My ink jet cannon printer MP600 is saying i have a paper jam there is no paper in it and it is still saying this and wont let me access any other functions or print

Recheck all jam clearing areas on the machine. Open doors, reseat the doors. Check for safety interlock switches, they are small and hard to find.
make sure the acuators are still in place, on the switches.
With the power off, move the ink carrige over left and right make sure there is no paper back there.
Make sure the carrige comes to its home position.
Other than this, possibly malfunction sensor or main board problem.

Cannon MP830 Printer cartridge jam

So you cant get the ink tanks in place properly?

Have you tried this method to ensure they're properly seated? Is the printer on or off when you try to seat the tanks?

Refer to the following steps to verify the ink tanks are seated correctly:
  1. Confirm that the printer is powered on and press the Open button. (The paper output tray will open.)

    mp800_openbutton.gif

  2. Lift the scanning unit (printer cover) completely. (The print head will move to the replacement position.)

  3. Open the inner cover.

    CAUTION:
    a. Do not try to manually move or stop the Print Head Holder.
    b. Do not touch any metal parts.

  4. Press down on the ink tank until a click is heard, thereby making sure the ink tank is seated properly.

    Note:
Make sure that the ink tank is inserted in the slot that corresponds to the ink tank's color.

  5. Ensure that all the ink tanks are installed properly and the ink tank lamps light red.

    Note:
    Ink Tank Lamp
You can check the status of each ink tank according to the way its lamp flashes.
    • - On: The printer is ready to print.
    • - Slow flashing (at about three second interval): Ink is low. Prepare a new ink tank.
    • - Fast flashing (at about one second interval): Ink tank is empty, or the printer is not ready due to an error.
    • - Off: An error has occurred and the printer is not ready to print.
  6. Close the inner cover and the scanning unit (printer cover).

    Note:
    1. When closing the scanning unit (printer cover), be careful not to jam your finger.
    2. When starting printing next time, the print head cleaning launches automatically.

Canon pixma 4500

HI

FIRST YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PURCHASED THE CORRECT WHIT PRINTABLE DISKS.
YOUR PRINTER WOULD HAVE CAME WITH THE NECESSARY SFTWARE CALLED CD PRINT.
OPEN THE PROGRAM AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO CREATE THE IMMAGE ON THE CD/DVD.
YOU WILL BE WORKING WITH AN IMAGE OF A BLANK WHITE DISK, AND WHAT EVER YOU DO THERE WILL BE PRINTED ON YOUR REAL DISK.
YOUR CANNON PRINTER WILL HAVE AN OPENING IN FRONT WHERE YOU WILL HAVE TO INSERT THE DISK WITH THE PROVIDED TRAY ( A BLACK RECTANGLE WHICH THE CD/DVD WILL FIT ON).
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE PC AND YOU CANNOT GO WRONG

CLOSE THE INNER COVER

I should have added that the extra plastic insert thing that comes with the CD holder is used when you want to print on the smaller 8cm disks.

Cd tray error Canon Pixma MP810

Sorry a little late only just read your problem.
The location is not the bottom tray feeder but the disk tray. In settings change your media type to "Printable Disk" the paper scource should automatically change to "Disk Tray" and hopefully every thing will work OK.
