Error 99 displayed on cd player. CD player is a Denon DCH-520.

When I slide the magazine into the CD stacker I get an error message that will reset until I put the magazine in again. It is OK if I put the empty magazine in, but as soon as I put the magazine in eith CD's in it, it comes up with the error. Your thoughts?

6 dsc changer stock radio 99 ford explorer cddj error

I've had GREAT success by resetting the changer. Try unpluging the changer with the power ON, wait a few, then plug back in. It's not hard to remove. Can I assume that you did NOT misload or install any CD' upside down? If not, then proceed with a reset. Can you eject the magazine? If so, proceed with reset. If you can NOT eject the magazine, then you will need to "open up the can" and do a manual eject with power assist by moving the gears while pushing the eject button. Sounds like a lot, but for me it's easy. Remember patience!!

Can't eject cd magazine - E-99 error message

I had the same problem. I opened up the unit and found out that there is a plastic gear that moves the loader. When worn the loader can not load tha magazines nor change cd's. I replaced the gear and the cd autochanger worked fine.
