My shark euro pro mop use to steam, but I pluged it in this last time, and no steam. I pumped several times nothing happens. The water heats up but I can"t get it to steam.
Hard water deposits. I ran some white vinegar through mine, like a coffee maker, and it worked for a while, but clogged again. So I unplugged it, let it cool and turned it over in the bathtub and squirted a small amount of Lime-Away into the hole where the steam comes out. Let it soak for 5- 10 minutes and it is working like is is brand new.
I just had the same problem and I went ahead and opened the steam mop up with a screw driver and there was the grey pump that pumps steam to the mop pads was clogged with hard water build up and unclogged the pump and it worked right away...
HERE IS THE ANSWER YOU ALL'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR. CAREFULLY WIND UP THE ELECTRIC CORD ONTO MACHINE AND SECURE IT. HOLD MACHINE IN A VERTICLE POSITION OUT IN FRONT OF YOU, WITH OTHER HAND SLOWLY OPEN THE DOOR TO GO OUTSIDE. STEP UP TO YOUR DUMPSTER AND LIFT LID. FLING THE WHOLE PIECE OF **** INTO GARBAGE, CLOSE LID, TAKE A DEEP CLEANSING BREATH AND WALK AWAY...DO NOT LOOK BACK.
Take your steam mop head to the sink. Get good old baking soda and vinegar, pour baking soda down the top of the head, the part that connects to the steamer. Pour the vinegar down the hole at the top where you put the baking soda, it will begin to fiz, keep pouring vinegar down, then put it under hot water for several minutes, then put some baking soda on the mop head holes and pour vinegar on it, again it will fiz do the same for the other side rinse both sides with hot water for several minutes.
And Voila, it will be working just fine.
How do I know, I just did it, too bad I already ordered a new mop head, but I guess I'll have an extra. Actually got the idea from this board. Someone mentioned using vinegar in the steamer itself, and I thought, huh, I use baking soda and vinegar to keep my drains clear, lets see what happens with this.
So no need to take the thing apart, just try it , it will work I promise.
Im sorry to say that shark products are usually junk.
Sorry...its prob not even worth fixing due to the price how much did you pay for it?

The steam mop starts up fine then stops after a minute. The green light stays on but no more steam. If I turn it off and back on it starts up fine but then stops again.
it gets warm and water comes out like it should, but no steam.
