The bag is the first stage in your filtration. Most times what you did will draw fine dust right through the filters and into the motor itself, affecting the bearings and clogging the motor fans, throwing them off balance.
The fact that there is a new noise would seem to indicate bearing problems which will only worsen unless the vac motor is dismantled, fans cleaned and bearings either replaced or cleaned and repacked.

Model discontinued

Unfortunately you may have to try a vac shop or order online. Parts for these older Eurekas (other than bags and belts) are becoming ahrder to find.

Loud whining sound and wont **** up the water on my f5914-900

Loud whining noise generaly indicates motor issues, which also provide suction to extract water from carpet.

No suction for Kenmore upright vacuum

You have not stated which model vacuum you have. Bipass vacuum have a bipass compartment which is under drive unit. Make sure there are no cracks around housing as this is where you vacuume is created. In order to have vacuum you must have airflow, in assences suction. No air flow, no suction. If the airflow is deverted somehow suction will stop. Your filter, your bag are all sources of air flow. Clog either and you lose suction. Start with loss of air, being cracks in housing, bag or filter

I have a Kenmore Progressive Inteleclean Upright vacuum cleaner (with Bag) . It has good suction only through the hose now and none through the bottom for cleaning carpets. and, there is a noise like it...

Theres a little bendable neck that hose with suction plugs into. Thats the one thats clogged. You will have to fish it out by taking off the roller and clearing the clog.

Getting suction to use attachments

When the vacuum is in the upright position, it should give you suction thru the hose.
