Looking for a 12 volt cord for portable DVD player.

    You can use a universal power supply , comes with mant different tips and dial in the voltage and plus or minus polarity you need. Try frys first.

I need a charger for mine

The PDV-228 takes a 12 volt DC charge. You should be able to find one at a Radio Shack or other electronics store. Bring it in with you to make sure the plug fits, but make sure it is a 12 volt. You should be able to find either an AC to DC converter, or just a DC plug for your car.

Durabrand DUR-7 dvd player

the 12 volt car adapter only puts 9v to the dvd player. It is poorly marked. It really only runs on 9v. If you plug 12v into it it will smoke... thats what mine did.
