Is there a user's manual for the Sylvania DVC 860E DVD/VCR Combo? DVD works great but VCR will run w/sound but no picture.

Your unit has it seems to have developed a video problem. it could be in the video switching IC or the video processor. Its going to need a trained technician, who knows how to use an ocilliscope to find the video problem.. Good Luck

Even if you do get it connected you cannot copy from vhs to dvd as you have bought a vcr recorder with dvd player, not a dvd recorder. You can only record to the vcr tape from a dvd, in the players controls.

i want to know how to record a tv show through my satelite using my goldstar vcr and i dont have a remote control so i know i cant use the timer but i can record it manually ; i just dont know what inputs or outputs i need to use
