YOu need to lock the time you set and leave the oven connected to power at all times.

I have the same "SE" problem. After reading this thread here, I realise it's likely the keypad problem, which explains the microwave's behaviour (no key was working).

So there were two possibilities. (1)keypad failure and (2) bad connection.

Obviously the easiest thing I could start with is to clean the connection. So I first take the cover off. Behind the keypad is a circuit board. In addition to a few connections between the circuit board and other parts of the microwave, there is a ribbon connecting the keypad to the circuit board.

Loose the plastic on the connection, pull the ribbon out from the socket. I then used spirit to clean the exposed copper connections. Put every thing back to place.

Voila, it's working again and we have been living happily ever after.....

SOURCE: Microwave shuts off after 3 seconds

Although your model number doesn't seem to show up, the NNS950-series units are powered by an high-voltage inverter. And yours has failed. While an inverter (switched-mode power supply) is more efficient from a power consumption standpoint, it is more complex, thus more statistically prone to fail. These should only be examined and worked on by someone who has the necessary technical qualifications. Seriously. Often the machine-soldered connections in a microwave inverter are too weak, so they eventually fail, especially if heat is high in the area. They sometimes fail catastrophically. When not catastrophically damaged, you may hear clicking or squealing and may smell an electrical odor, which is sometimes obscured by the cooling fan. Sometimes a whole new inverter is cheaper than the time and labor required to fix the old one. If a technician is willing and able to troubleshoot and repair the inverter to component level, it will may be expensive, but may be worth it, especially if he or she will resolder and reinforce connections as needed as part of a thorough repair. That could easily make your inverter beter than a new one! You might be able to get some verbal estimates if you call Panasonic-authorized appliance / microwave repair shops and ask then specifically about inverter component-level repair and simple inverter replacement costs for your exact model number.

SOURCE: Daewoo MT1510B problem

Chances are your magnetron is overheating, activating the magnetron thermostat, which resets and restores power when it cools.

Your manual may call for you to put a paper plate under the popcorn bag to heat better and to protect the turntable. (And always place the food slightly off-center on the turntable, for the same reasons!)

You should first confirm that the outlet reads about 110-120 volts AC and that the microwave is on its own breaker. If a microwave shares a breaker with another high current device (or even lights) it can affect operation.

Then be sure the microwave's internal cooling fan is running.

If this is an over the range model, it will also have a exhaust hood vent fan which you can turn on and off at will, but this is not the fan I'm talking about.

The internal cooling fan should be on whenever the oven is cooking. If not, the magnetron can overheat and eventually be destroyed.

The next issue is how long you've had the oven.

If it's within the 30-day dealer exchange period, I'd take it back for a new one pronto.

If it's within the full warrranty period (usually 1 year) Daewoo's service center should fix it free.

You can visit Daewoo online or call them at 1-800-323-9668 or 1-800-553-4355 to find parts or find your nearest authorized service center to have them do the work.

SOURCE: sylvania p70d20al-d5 microwave keeps beeping

I have the same problem with my microwave, the clock disappears and it says "enter" and "amt", I figured out it's the "beverage" button that is sticking. When I want to use it I just press "beverage" and then "reset" and just press them over and over until it stops. Usually it's on the first try, sometimes I have to press them a few times. Just don't do what I'm about to type though, I decided to get my razor knife and cut the button out carefully, I only cut the contacts on each side of the button, now no buttons work, I should have left it the way it was, at least I could use it that way.

How do i fix keypad

Keypads will flash when new oven or when disconnected and setting are lost. First try setting the clock
  • push CLOCK--enter numbers--push CLOCK to see if keypad becomes operational.
If not, unplug, replug and try again. As for "fixing" keypad ....that is not likely to be the problem and even it it were, keypads are not user repairable. For further info, dial the the factory customer support phone number.

Stuck on demo and cild lock

My Samsung did this as well. Unplug for at least two minutes and plug back in. Press the clock button twice. Set the time and press clock button once more. Doesn't have to be correct time, any time will do as you can go back and set correct time later. After pressing clock it should be out of demo mode. Try 1 second on high cooking. This should take care of the problem.

Can't set the clock on a 1987 Quasar Superwave convection Microwave MQ8777BW

I had a similar problem--no manual--but found this way to set the clock:
1) Be sure colon is flashing (unplug and replug)
2) Press the 10 HOUR/MIN, 1 MIN, 10 SEC/MIN, and 1 SEC/MIN buttons until the correct time displays.
3) Press the CLOCK button.
Hope this helps.

Will not work after power outage. Clock shows the two dots. Clock will not set.

Try and unplug the microwave and wait for one minute before replugging it back into the outlet. If the clock still won't set then the board inside needs to be replaced. This is a common problem with microwaves. they are very sensitive to power surges and or spikes. A good idea is to have a surge protetor installed on your electrical panel to protect the whole house. Hope this helps.
