SOURCE: shower pressure.

Hi chicken69

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

You want to know why the presssure on your triton t80i shower has dropped by half?

It is very possible that some debrie has come up in the water and is partially clogging the shower. For this you would have to turn the water off and dissassemble the parts clearing all the small passages, a bit of wire or paper clip works. Perhaps for a pro? If you like you may choose to utilize our Repair Directory.

SOURCE: triton opal electric shower overflow pipe

hi rob the problem is due to an activated thermal overheat switch, you cannot reset this unit as once it is activated it will require a new unit, its a nuisance i agree as i come across this regularly, however its condusive of a scaled up unit so you eventually turn up the shower setting higher to get the water hotter, & inturn activates the thermal switch.
According to which model it is the part is not that overly expensive, you can phone triton direct 7 they will post a new spare to you

Kindly

SOURCE: my shower works. water also poors out of a tube beneath the unit

Are you talking about water still coming through the spout at the same time? What overflow pipe are you talking about? If you are talking about the spout, there is a device in the spout that when you pull up on it, the water is diverted to the shower. They have washers in them and it sounds as though the washer is worn out and not making a good seal anymore. You can buy a new generic spout to stop the water or you can take the old one apart and try to find replacement pieces. I have taken one apart and bought a new one to rob the parts off of it before. I hope this is the answer you were looking for. If not, reply to this for clarification and I will try and answer your question more clearly.

SOURCE: turned on a triton trance electric shower it was

The overflow pipe is a pressure relief device which is a small rubber ball that get's ejected when the water pressure inside the shower is too high. You will need to get a spare part to replace this. These generally operate because the showerhose is in poor condition and has collapsed internally, or the showerhead has become clogged up so check these things first.
Good luck.

Is it a mains fed shower

The installation must be in accordance with
Water Regulations/Bylaws.
To ensure activation of the heating elements, the
shower must be connected to a mains water
supply with a minimum running pressure of
100kPa (1.0 bar) at a minimum flow rate of eight
litres per minute (nine litres per minute for the
9.5kW rated model).
For all units the maximum static pressure must
be no greater than 1000kPa (10 bar)
.
If in any doubt, the pressure should be checked.

Triton shower faults

If its a trickle occasionally its normal, when you turn off shower the water is still in pipe right up to shower head, it cools down, contracts and backs away from the head, when house gets warmer water expands up to the shower head and trickles out.
