You have yourself a camera with pedigree and it would be a shame not to put a few rolls of film through it before you decide whether to continue to use it, store it as a collectible or sell it on.
Using a manual film camera is interesting and rewarding and can be fun - it is an experience no one should miss. Like learning to drive, at first there seems too many things to think of but with the help of a little reading most people soon master the basics.
There is plenty of information online - see link below...

Have fun!

You may have a short in the wiring if the fire stops when you unplug it. Sounds like something electrical is arcing. This is dangerous and you should take it to a qualified repair shop. Using it in this condition can cause serious injury or death.
SOURCE: The waste ink collector/tank is nearly full
The ink collector should be found underneath where the cartridges normally rests. Put some tissue paper on the ink padand let it absorb the ink. You might have to repeat the procedure a few times to get rid of all the ink.
SOURCE: how do you find the waste ink collector on a printer/scanner ?
Inkjet printers have a fibrous pad inside them that collects the waste
ink from cleaning the print head. Over time, this pad fills up with ink
and can no longer hold any more. When this occurs, the printer
indicates a "waste ink tank full" error.
The waste ink absorption pads are inside the printer, in the very bottom. They are usually soaked with ink when full and are very messy.
Replacing
the waste ink absorption pads is something an authorized canon service
facility can take care of for you.

Unfortunatly I am in Brazil and not aware on repair services in Mumbai. BUT addressing your question, YES all Pentax mount (bayonet) will fit in K1000. As a matter of fact, this is an extremely reliable and simple camera, assuming you are skillful in manual mode shooting. In the "used" market you can find a lot of bargains suitable to the K1000. Try some oldies (but goldies) Takumar lens.
