Hi, there should be a software within the laptop through which you can use the camera, but in some cases there is none installed specifically for that, other software like yahoo messenger, msn messenger, skype and so forth all use the camera in chatting with other people, you can easily check if the camera work by signing into one of those and going into Audio/Video setup to check the camera... other software is available through the web for free and can allow you to use the camera and capture images and videos clips with it.. the following link has some and you can also search the net for anything like 'webcam software' Best of Luck

You should be able to activate the webcam with any webcam enabled software. There's no buttons or anything to "turn it on" as it will turn on with software that needs webcam.

For example, try using it with the video chat feature built into Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, or Windows Live Messenger. They should all detect the webcam automatically and start using it.

Hi. You need to configure your webcam with your chat client like Yahoo Messenger or Skype.

Go to Options or Preference and configure your chat client to use your Dell Built-in Webcam.

You need to install a software to use your web cam. You can use dell webcam manager or any chat software like yahoo messenger, aim etc.

Hi....Use the webcam button in the messenger software : yahoo, msn and it will automatically turn on and start the webcam.

Some webcams have this problem in combination with Yahoo.
I was able to fix this by using a program called SplitCam. I allows for webcam sharing, but it also is compatible with most webcams. You can install it and then use that as the video source in Yahoo.
I found a nice description about using SplitCam for this.

ok, that is not a big problem, what you have to do now is what u are requsting i have enough webcam driver in my shop just send a reply to [email protected] opeyemi engineering co. you will have to send the laptop so that will can text it with the driver will have. your Address, Names, fax no, location.we deal in repairing laptop accessories

Take your laptop to your local computer repair shop, as it will take too long to explain a solution.
