Error codes Sud and F21 etc. what do they mean?

You have problem draining.
Unplug. Check Drain hose and make sure it not clogged or blocked. Check pump if it is running. Clean pump filter.
If it doesn't work, leave it unplug for an hour and plug back in. It will reset your unit.

I have a Kenmore Elite washer, Model 110.20096993, it starts beeping with about 10 mins left in the cycle and shuts off. Any thoughts?

I have the same model - it displays 10 minutes and keeps beeping in series of 3 (beep beep beep...... beep beep beep... etc..) ran through a cycle successfully but kept beeping like that the whole time. I unplugged it for 10 minutes but had the same symptoms after plugging it back in. I unplugged it for 24 hours, and that seems to have cleared the problem up.

Kenmore 70 series washing machine won't drain or

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.#######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

The Kenmore / Whirlpool top load uses a reversing motor to initiate the pump for draining and the transmission to spin.

If you cannot hear the motor trying to turn the pump, (but the washer will agitate) the problem points to the Timer, or the Lid Switch.

Try to bypass the Lid Switch by removing the Console and jumping the two outermost pins on the switch.

This is a Whirlpool PDF on how these washers operate. It has a diagram on jumping the switch as well as a detailed section on how the transmission works.

https://secured.whirlpool.com/Service/SrvTechAdm.nsf/2cd44500d572193285256a45004fd9d6/f7e2147fa98b28cf85257122007475cb/$FILE/L-55.pdf

It also has a troubleshooting guide.

To bypass the switch, you only have to disconnect the power to the washer, tilt the console back, unplug the switch and using an short piece of insulated wire, jump the two outermost contacts on the connector coming from the console and plug the washer back in.

Following is a description of how to gain access to the console and how to remove the cabinet if necessary.

With the jumper in place, try to re-start the washer.

If it works, the Lid Switch is a relatively inexpensive part.

Wont start

Try unplugging the unit for an hour allowing the microprocessor to reset. Plug it back in and use as normal. Let me know if this helps.

Sounds like something stuck in the washing machine when draining

Something has become stuck in the drain pump.
1. Remove the back cover. The drain pump is in the lower left corner.
2. Tilt machine forward for easier access.
3. Unplug the pump motor power plug.
4. Loosen the hose clamp from the tub.
5. Remove the drain hose connection from the pump.
6. Remove the three screws securing the pump to the tub.
7. Remove debris from pump.
8. Replace pump.
9. Merry Christmas...

Fisher Paykel Washer IWL 12 error codes 130 & 240

Had the same problem cleaned the terminals worked for a bit and came back. The problem is that the little circit board that the plug goes onto that sits between the winding of the motor the copper tracks are so small and they corrode. If you are handly with a solding iron you can replace the tracks with small wire, its mainly on one leg of each of the transistors that are all parrelled up. You can tell because it goes black. Or the easy way just take off the motor unpluging the sense plug then the three main power connectors Yellow, blue and red making sure you mark the correct order to put them back on. The sensor board just pulls out of the windings with a little arrow to but it back in the right place and buy the small board it has the part number on it to find it on the web. I only has three bits on it can't be expensive. Soldered mine up works a treat make sur you clean up the plug aswell, it mainly played up in humid weather.

Samsung Washer WF306LAW stopped draining and won;t spin

Drained the water from the tub into a bucket. Since the water flowed through the disharge tub I knew there were no obstructions in the line. I then took took the discharge pump out and took it apart. Turned out to be a bobby pin in the motor that was jamming the impeller.

Put it all back together and it works just fine. Took me about 2 1/2 hours total to diagnose and repair.
