My guess is you used gas containing ethanol and its gummed up the carburetor.
But first try standard troubleshooting procedures. Check for spark (using a spark tester) and check for fuel problems by spraying starting either into the air intake. (If it runs, even only a couple of seconds, it's a gummed up carb.)
If it's a gummed up carb, you can sometimes get the clogs to dissolve by adding SeaFoam to the gas (I usually go heavy) and run (or try to run) to pull the gas and SeaFosm into the carb. Then let it sit for a couple of days (the longer he better, but dont expect more after a week.) The SeaFoam will slowly dissolve the gunk. It this doesn't work, you will have pull the carb and use carb cleaner. (Or you can take it to your dealer and pay him to do it. They have special devices, such as an ultrasonic cleaner that can dissolve clogs.)
Testimonial: "I would also start there, and did, on my old one, but there was nothing to gum up a brand new saw, and the fuel was also new and factory mixed. 50:1. Thanks just the same. Let me know if you discover anything new (and easy) I could try. I'm not going to take apart a new chainsaw that's still under warranty, but neither do I want to wait a month to get it back."
SOURCE: fly wheel seemds locked up on Husqvarna 445
the flywheel does not have a brake, the clutch side has the break.if you have the chain side cover off the brake is no longer on the clutch drum.the fly wheel is on the oppiset side (starter rewind).take the starter rewind off and see if the motor will turn.if hte motor turns the problem is in the clutch side.if it doesn't the problem is in the flywheel side.the ignition coil has been known to loosen up.the screws streitch out from heat.check the air gap between the flywheel magnets and the ignition coil.should be .10 to .12 inches.if problem is on clutch side check to make sure that the springs are on between the clutch discs.they have been known to break and that does not let the chain spin on bar.any questions get me an e mail

chanes are the carb needs to be adjusted and the diaphrams in the carb need to be replaced over time they get stiff and hard from old feul, causing it to not pump feul and meter the feul properly

Try not giving any throttle when first starting. The newer trimmers are this way many times. (Maybe the newer chainsaws are this way now.)You prime the carburetor, set the choke and pull, but don't throttle until it runs for 10 or 15 seconds.
