I have this same problem

I had a mtx 250w amp in my car a month back with 1 10, worked fine, now the other day i got a kenwood 400 off a friend and tried to hook it up to the same 10 inch sub the amp light would turn on but no sound went to the sub, so seeing how it worked before the same wiring set up i said well this amp must be blown up no big deal. So my friend says hey lets put my system in your car. exile amp and 2 12inch subs and still we have the same issue so i try everything i can think of change the plugs the rca's are in nothing, we try new rca wires nothing, so i think maybe my decks screwed ( had one that was going in soon anyways ) so i replaced the deck but still we have the same issue NEED HELP!!!

Check the power with a volt meter. The battery power, then the remote power. Also make sure it's grounded properly. bad grounds cause mayhem.

How do I Bridge MTX Thunder 404 400 watts into one channel

The mtx thunder is a 4 channel amp. 4 channels can't be bridged to 1 speaker. You can only use one side of that amp to bridge your speaker. Unfortunately your now only using half your amp.

MTX 8302 sound just quit on front speakers

hi Dan....Have you had any other service or installs shortly prior to the onset of clipping? In any case, the 8302 has Onboard Thermal Protection which is kicking in due to excessive heat. If you've had this running fine for a period of time, by that I mean at least a month, then we need to focus on why you're suddenly overheating......please update your post with any further information and progress.....good luck my friend

I just recently bought a brand new MTX magnum amp and dual 10" enclosed subs deal off of amazon. They arrived today, and with the help of a friend who is good with car audio systems, we set the whole

the best thing to do is get in touch with amazon, and see what they can do about it,if you try to fix the problem yourself it will invalidate the garantee!

Amp works fine i think??? but Prsim efx not working at all

You need to contact MTX tech support before the warranty runs out. You'll probably have to get an RA number to send it back.

Amp protection problem

I run one sub on my Kenwood Amp also. It does over heat also. My conclusion is that we are both trying to push that one sub too hard and the amp is having to work really hard to make that sub do what we are asking. Also, not having enough power or a good ground will cause it to over heat. I am going to go with the voice coils are heating up though.
