How deep do you want to get into this?It sounds like the wash pump motor bearings that are worn. You can pull the unit out flip it over and wd40 the bearings in the motor or you can replace the bearings.Try to lube them first.

A loud high pitch whine while running the dishwasher means that there is something caught in the chopper assembly. To get to the chopper assembly you need to take the racks out and take the pump apart from the inside of the dishwasher. The chopper assembly looks like a metal grate with holes in it. And it might not even be stuck in the grate but somewhere in the pump area due to the water being pumped out, so the best idea is to take the whole thing apart and clean everywhere. However I do not recommend doing this unless you are completely certain you will remember where the screws and gaskets go, otherwise you risk damaging your pump or house from a leak or improper installation. You have been warned.

Hi,
This is probably a dry bearing in the vent motor. Those motors run at high RPM's and can make a deafening high pitched squeal if they become dry and need oiling.
Some of the motors have oil cups on them for dripping oil into and others;s are much more difficult as you need to guess where the bearing is and try to drip oil down into them or run the oil to them.
Any light weight small motor oil ike a sewr machine oil will work.
Many hardwares have small oil bottles with extending spouts made just for oiling motors for just a couple of bucks...
The other thing that can cause this is if the blower wheel is coming loose and has moved to the side and is hitting the side of the blower housing. Take the bottom cover off and check for play or movement side to side in the blower wheel. Spinning it with the power off by hand may give you a clue as you will hear it scraping the side of the housing.
