Whirlpool duet makes loud noises(Hummm) during spin ( drain) cycle. Any idea what would cause that? Unit seems to function properly. Could it be out of balance?

You will need to clean the catch out that is located in front of the pump. Sounds just like it is full of lint or has something clogging it restricting the water from draining. This is where the humming comes from. If you take the bottom panel off. You can see the catch. Just open and clean out.

I have the same problem. I cleaned catch, the boot, everything I could over to the drum. I didn't find much in there but there is still the loud hum druing drain/spin. Please advise. Thank you!

F 02 code. washer won't drain properly

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F02 is a drain error in your Kenmore washer, if the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display sud and then F02. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter. If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Our washer is making a grinding noise when the washer drains and when the tub spins any ideas what it might be. Washer seems to work fine just making that noise during a drain and spin cycle.

This sounds like you may have something caught in the drain pump. One of the most common items to get stuck in there is a woman's bra wire. Check it out.

The rubber belt is worn and slipping under load. (like a fan belt)
There could also be something caught in the belt or pulleys; clear it out and it should work.
If worn, replace belt soon...

My Whirlpool duet washer is making very loud noises on the spin cycle - it still drains and spins but the spin is uneven and sounds like there is something grinding inside. The spin does not seem to be as...

VERY loud noises might indicate a loose counter weight. Open the cabinet then raise the top and check the condition of the counterweights and that they are fastened down properly. The front lower counterweight is held on at the ends by two lugs connected by a formed rebar rod and a spaced bolt in the middle of it. Check these first. Loose you can fix. If the rebar breaks, the counterweight will beat the inside of the machine up pretty good, usually damaging the water pump strainer housing. If this doesn't solve your problem, look at some of the other posts here for other ideas. They're really good.

Loud grinding noise only during the spin cycle.

Try looking at the solution for loud noise during spin with gray water in drain. This also sounds like the bearings on the shaft supporting the stainless steel drum, in the aft half of the outer drum.

Whirlpool Duet Washer Making Loud Grinding Noise

not nesseccarrily your pump, possible you have a rear bearing going bad, which will sound as if a helicopter is coming through your laundry room. ( noisy pump can be the issue , honestly a better and cheapre problem to have) in order to determine if its apump problem you can remove the lower access panel and unplug the pump then start the spinn cycle, if it still loud the pumpms not hte issue.
