Does it run after you get to the optimal humidity level?

If so, it's a bad humidity sensor switch A cheap fix is to put it on a timer. Otherwise replace the switch.

I understand that there is no water coming out of your Frigidaire dehumidifier, model# FDF50S1. I also see that the filter is fine and the fan is running. If you have your dehumidifier set up to continuously drain through a garden hose, make sure there are no kinks or clogs in the garden hose. If that does not work, I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Turn the power back on and try any cycle. I do believe this one of those models that uses one display for both setting of humidity level and the timer , make sure you are viewing the timer function and not the humidity function , this is a very common complaint with these type as many times one sets the on time correct but then sets what they believe to be off time when they really are adjusting the humidity room level , there should be tiny lights that show function you are adjusting

If the unit is not running fully, but you have this noise, sounds like the internal fan might be the culprit. Contact your manufacturer for further options.

With the Dehumidifier switch on, pressing the Timer Button should changed between 2hr and 4hr mode.

If this is what you're doing and it isn't lighting the LED nextto the 2hr and 4hr can you confirm what setting you have for the humidity?
