You have to open it. you probably have to replace the seal from under the boiler. quit a bit of doing but if you do it slowly you will be able to make it take photos if you have to

We had that happen and it was a crack in the black ring that holds the filter. Breville could not supply us with one but we found an OEM part in aluminum from http://www.vancouverwireedm.com/caferomadiyt.htm. We received it 1 week after ordering. It was pretty easy to replace. Our machine works fine now.

One most frequent problem with your model Krups XP2000 series is a follows. After opening the back (yes the warranty is broken) below we have some photos to help you and here is what we found. Poor quality control there are two screws holding a hose interface to the reservoir and they are not tight or became loose since they are metal screws going into plastic that get hot and vibrates.
The fix is to tighten the screws just slightly so that you do not crack the plastic then dab them with nail polish so that they do not move. (see second photo).
