Most TVs have a parental
control lock that can be set to prevent children from watching specific
television shows. In order to activate or deactivate the controls, you need to
know the four digit security code or parental lock control password. If you
forget the number you chose or if the lock gets set accidentally, it is still
possible to unlock the TV. Turn
on the TV and grab the remote. In most cases, you will need the original remote

that you have stored in the TV, such as favorite channels, automatic timers and
the clock. You will have to go through the full initial set up. Call
the technical support service number in your owner's manual if none of those
codes work. A technician can help you troubleshoot the television because the
problem may not be the locking control. When you call, make sure that you have
the model number and serial number of the TV. Take your television to a TV repair shop. In some cases, a
professional who access to wiring diagrams for your television set may have to
rewire certain components in order for the television to unlock. This is

Channel guard and V-Chip settings are protected by a four-digit lock code. Your TV comes
pre-set with a lock code of "0000". You may change the code to any four-digit number you
wish. To change the lock code, follow the steps below.
Press the MENU button
Press [UP/Down] button to SET LOCK CODE.
Press [=> / <=] buttons to operate [lock icon appears]
Press ZERO to acess the lock code. The first digit will be highligted.
Press [ => / <=] button to select the number.
Press [Up/Down] button to move the next digit and continue to follow these directions for all the four digits.
Press OK button to finish.
Press the menu button when finished
DO THIS AFTER UNPLUG THE TV FROM AC MAINS WALL SOCKET, AND LEAVE IT FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES OR SO, REPLUG IT TO ac MAINS, AND DO ALL THE ABOVE SAID PROCEEDINGS. THIS PROCESS WILL ERASE ALL THE V-VHIP CODES, IF SET, AND WILL ALLOW YOU TO SET AN OTHER OF YOUR OWN. The default V-Chip code is [0000]. Ok.
