The two little bags in the drum that catches the dirt,where can i get new ones,mine are torn

First check the hose for being plugged. Check the filters. One behind the dirt bag. They do get plugged. Also make sure you have the proper dirt bag that's made for that make. I had one come in and no suction and they had installed a new dirt bag but it was not made for that machine and it went over the area where it is suppose to suck air. They said well we went to the store and bought a Kenmore bag but what they did not realize there are several Kenmore models and they all take different size bags.

Looking up your vacuum it should be very simple. There will be a zipper on the side or back of the bag. Unzip that and it will expose the dirt catching bag. There will be a point with a hard round cardboard connection plate that connects to the intake hose. This is gently removed by pulling and twisting. Once you have disconnected that you can remove the whole dust collection bag. Your new one will be flat but still have the same connection point. Gently press that back on the intake hose securely and then zip the bag back up. The flat bag will inflate as soon as you turn on the vacuum again.

Make sure that your bag is pushed all the way past the lip on the connector tube and that the "U" shaped part of the plastic assembly is in it's slot behind that lip, or it will not seal properly and you will get dust into the outer bag.

Put the outer bag back on the unit. Make sure that you have pushed the outer bag down past a black lip. The piece that holds the inner and outer bag on the vacuum needs to be put on next. The small horseshoe shaped plastic piece goes on with hte open part down. Make sure that the docking station goes behind the lip I told you about. Next put the piece that the inner bag slides into on. This should have the bag back on the vacuum and ensure that it is on properly. If not, then it will pull of pretty easy and blow dirt into the outer bag...not the one that is meant to catch the dirt....I am a manager of an Oreck store.

Please make sure that the plastic pieces that holds the outer/inner bags on the vacuum are attached properly. Push the outer (permanent) bag down against the vacuum. It will go over a black lip. Put first piece of the bag dock on..make sure it is behind that lip also. When you reattach the second piece to the dock, this will tighten the docking system. It will keep the outer bag on and keep the inner (disposable) bag in place so that it is catching the dirt...not the outer bag.

You can pull on the tab to remove the bag, but probably a better way is to gently pull on the rubber ring that attaches the bag to the back of the vacuum body. If you don't yank and ****, it should come off without spilling the dirt. There may also be a paper bag actually catching the dirt inside the cloth bag. If there isn't, I recommend you get a package of those. They come in packs of three, and they're disposable -- instead of emptying them, you toss them and install a new paper bag.

• its clogged that is what the light shows is that if your vacuum is clogged then that light will come on and it will shut off, i have the same vacuum and mine does not come on cause its not clogged

The fact is that the "bagless bandwagon" is powered by some excellent marketing that conceals what is often poor technology. In your case, the filter blocks because it's doing the job that a bag would do in a bagged machine (catching the dust), and then the machine overheats because the flow of cooling air to the motor is restricted. The only solution (for this machine) is to keep buying new filters - the only permanent solution is to buy a different vacuum cleaner. And my advice is to buy one with a bag!

my dirt devil is blowing out air instead of sucking up.Tried new bag.any other solution to fix

1. open the bag compartment by lifting the black catch near the handle. 2. grip the grey plastic fitting on the bag, using the little handles on each side, and slide it out of the black holder. As you do this, part of the grey fitting remains caught in the black holder, and this causes the bag closure to cover the hole. When the cover is fully in place, if the grey bit doesn't release itself, you can help by slightly lifting the black tab where it's trapped. 3. slide the new bag in where the old one came out, and close the lid. 4. job done!
