I will be storing it indoors in the winter in my garage. Still gets very cold in the garage.
Winterizing is fairly easy. You can put the lower unit in a mix of water and antifreeze and run it to get all the water out and replaced with antifreeze. Next you can either spray fogging oil in and add fuel stabilizer to your gas tank.

add Stabil to the gas tank and run the engine for a few minutes so it gets into the carb. Then pull the plugs and spray fogging oil into each cylinder and then turn the engine over a few times. If you are in a cold climate you should drain the lower unit in case there is water in it and then refill it with new lower unit grease. reinstall the plugs and you will be ready for winter.

Just need to lower the motor all the way down. This will drain all the water out of the motor. That should do it. They recommend changing the motor oil at the end of the year or the start of the next boating season. You should also add some Sta-Bil or Pri-G gasoline additive. Think it's available at Wal-Marts or part stores. Probably a good idea to keep the fuel tank full to prevent air inside tank from condensing and forming water. Add a couple of cans of HEAT to fuel to help keep water out.

Drop the drain hose and make sure the sump is completely dry. Otherwise it can freeze up and break the filter housing and the pump. You can drain the sump by removing the filter and then dropping the drain hose to ground level to ensure all of the water is out of the machine. Also make sure to remove the water hoses and then use a vacuum to dry out the inlet screen area. If you have a shop vac place the vac hose half over the water inlet hose Connectons on the plastic water valve and remove the water. After that it should be just fine to store in a very cold environment.
