My Sceptre 50" TV, I've had about three months. Will not turn on. No lights showing whatsoever. Tried directions for unplugging etc. Didn't help.

have you tried turning the tv on from the tv instead of the remote ??

You did a good thing; really!! Keep that TV aside you always.

Did you press the mute button again, some TVs use this method.

Try this: unplug the power cord from the wall, let TV set stand for AT LEAST 30 minutes, then plug back in and and see if the TV operates as normal.
Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't.

Ur power board inverter is dead.
U need a new board.

I just got a 42" komodo by Sceptre, same problem, except "SCEPTRE" showed on the screen. I was sent a USB key program to insert in the service slot in the back and it reflashes the bios. This is old news for you but maybe new for someone?
