Kenmoreoasis steam model 110.c6807(2801)power on,wont start tested thermal fuse circuit good. other thing beside thermal fuse tested no circuit present. 1 1/2 " oval shaped.is this my problem?

i don't know. dryer usually has 2 - 30amp fuses or circuit breakers. test or reset both. sometimes faulty door switch stop unit from starting.

Check your thermal fuse and the thermal cut-out fuse, two different fuses that can cause a dryer to run and not heat when open, or some dryers will not start when one of these has gotten too hot and opened....Usually caused by venting restriction of too much lint, common problem...........

A open operating thermostat or the high limit being open are also possible........;.

The other checks are live voltage checks, timer contacts, wiring, temp and internal motor switch......schematic is probably in back of control panel........
Takes some reading of a wiring diagram, understanding how to split the circuit ............Not for beginners.............Hope this helps...........do not forget to unplug dryer when doing anything on unit besides live voltage checks on circuits,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Hello Dom - Being that you have narrow down some possibilities, here are a few simple troubleshooting tips that may help you get to the root cause:

1. Make sure the dryer is plugged into outlet, and plugged in correctly.

2. Is house fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped? Replace fuse or re-set circuit breaker.
3. Make sure that electrical circuit is not overloaded and correct. The dryer must be on a circuit by itself. Overloaded circuits can damage the dryer and possibly cause damage to home. I would recommend reaching out to a Licensed Electrician check to make sure it is on a circuit by itself.

4. Thermal limiter tripped or an internal problem with the dryer. A thermal limiter automatically turns off the motor (electric dryers only) in the unlikely event of an overheated situation.A service technician must replace the thermal limiter after correcting the fault.

Yes, you need to take it all apart. ( Including the back.)
All of the things that can cause your problem are in the back and the bottom of your machine.
There are actually about 3 to 7 things that can cause "no heat".
Not only the "thermal fuse", but also the heating element, and any of the "overheat thermostat switches" can have failed, beside the possibility there is a wire has burned in two.
You will need a testing instrument like a multi-meter or a volt-ohm meter to check all these out.

Either unplug the unit from the wall outlet, remove the appropriate fuse from the fuse box, or flip the appropriate breaker in the circuit breaker panel. Testing a dryer's thermal fuse is much like testing its thermostats. Follow these steps to replace your dryer's thermal fuse.
The wires leading to the thermal fuse are connected using metal slip on connectors. Remove the wires by pulling on the connectors, and not the wires themselves. It may be a good idea to use a pair of needle nosed pliers to help you.
Set your multimeter to the R X 1 setting. Take each of your meter's probes and touch one to each terminal. You are testing for continuity, and you should receive a reading of either zero or infinity. At room temperature, testing the thermal fuse should produce a reading of zero. But if a thermostat is tested when it is heated to its limit, a reading of infinity should be produced. We strongly recommend that you test your thermostat at room temperature.
If the test you conduct with your thermostat does not produce these results, then you should replace the component.

First try disconnecting power for few minutes (trip circuit breaker or disconnect power cord. Check and eventually replace the thermal fuse (or the thermal cutoff). If that does not get rid of the problem, then more parts will need testing and eventually replacement.

The door latch can be tested jumping its terminals. There are more thermostats in the heating assembly that must also be tested. More details on the repair procedure depend on the type and model of applaince in question.

Try replacing thermal fuse first.

The thermal fuse (part number 3390719) is blown causing the motor not to run. This thermal fuse is located on the blower housing beside the thermistor (part number 8577274) and it is wired in series with the motor thereby cutting power to the motor when it fails. The failure of the thermal fuse is due the failed thermistor; these requires both the thermal fuse and the thermistor to be replace.

Access to the thermal fuse and the thermistor for replacement or testing requires the removal of the lower front access panel which is secured to the front panel by two retaining clips positioned about three inches away from the sides. Pry the clips to release it and remove the lower front access panel. The thermal fuse and the thermistor can now be accessed.

Using a volt-ohmmeter, check the continuity of the thermal fuse which is to the left of the thermistor. Replace the thermal fuse if it reads open together with the thermistor.

Remove the mounting screws and mount the new parts in place. Disconnect the wires from the old failed parts and connect it to the corresponding component. Reinstall the lower front access panel back into position.

Power off. Unhook wires to thermal overload. use an ohmmeter or continuity tester to check it. It should have continuity or read very low resistance (<1 ohm usually)

check your breaker first.A dryer will run on 110 but wont heat.if not breaker it could be your thermal fuse or element.the thermal fuse is located on element cage,unplug machine and test for continuity to your thermal cut off fuse which will be the top one on cage and check continuity to element.
