Sounds like a corrupted update or incompatible apps. Try reinstalling the affected apps. If they now work then that is your best solution. Since you didn't specify your phone make/model the only other choice would be a reset *NOTE you will probably lose all data and contacts*. Then update the software and then install any apps
set acess point as according to the settings and restart the phone .

Guys i just understood how java apps can work on your symbian s40 v7.20
do the foll. steps
1} download the java app via internet on your pc
2} u need nokia Ovi Suite installed in your pc
3} now connect your phone using usb to the pc
4} after connecting start the Nokia ovi suite
5} double click on the app u want 2 install in your cell
6} nokia ovi suite will install the app after u double click it in the Collection Folder in Extras
then the app will work guyssss !!!!!!!!!
