SOURCE: where is the belt on a dyson upright vacuum?
There is no drive belt on this model - its a cylinder pull along model.
If there's a problem with the turbo brush you can flip open the base of it by removing the screws, check that the toothed belt is in place and there is no clogs of dirt between the turbine and the brush bar.

Hi have you checked underneath to see if the belt has snapped, you will find it either side of the brush, if so you can obtain a replacement at most retails stores but take the model number and make with you, hope this helps
SOURCE: dyson 18 losing suction
Check the HEPA filter if it has one. This bit of foam gets clogged over time and significantly reduces the suction especially if you've been vacuuming a lot of very dusty areas i.e. dust from building work etc. Just wash the filter with lots of water and leave to dry before reinserting.
SOURCE: Dyson DC07 Vacuum Cleaner
Hello,
It sounds like to me that you probably have a clog in the hose port, or that your attachment hose may have a hole in it. Both of these problems are common problems on the Dyson DC07 model.
The first place you should check is the clog part that's directly underneath of the hose. Pull this port out and see if you can see anything lodged inside the clog port:
If you aren't able to find the clog here, then pull the wand and hose out of the vacuum. With the vacuum cleaner off, pull the hose out as far as it goes, and inspect the entire hose assembly from the end that the wand connects into, until the end that fits into the vacuum itself. A lot of times this hose will tear due to the sharp end of the wand as the hose is being pushed back up the wand.
If neither of these solutions worked, please just use the clarification request form here on the Fixya repair page, and I'd be happy to do some more advanced diagnosing with you to figure this out.

SOURCE: how to replace electrical cord on Dyson ball
Depending on where it has been chewed, you may not need to replace the whole of your cord. Ask your local electrical supplier, or possibly somewhere like B & Q, if they have an 'inline' plug and socket to repair your existing cord.this would resemble the type of plug and socket used to connectd the power chord to a lawnmower, except you would not be buying the sealed type. Then you could simply cut out the chewed part of your ccord, and fit the two new ends, one the plug and the other the socket. It is no more difficlt than fitting a new domestic 13 amp plug on a cable. It is also a safe but much cheaper solution, so you should save money too.
