If your phone came with a CD, you should download the information on the CD to your PC. This should give you a PC Suite icon on your desktop for your LG and also download the USB drivers to your computer so it can recognize your phone when connected to it.

Unlocking the LG VU from AT& T was a very cheap unlock for me. Some phones have been more expensive. I paid about $3 on ebay to get the code and had it within the hour. You have to give them the imei number off the phone, what model the phone is and service provider the phone is locked to.
