My kenmore chest freezer shut off (the outside light was off, and it was warming up inside) No breakers were tripped. When I slid the freezer away from the wall, to check the plugin, it started working. Any ideas why? It is only about 6months old.
Try to plug somthing that you know it works ,in that outlet ,and if it doesn't work or goes on and off , the problem is in the outlet, but if works without trouble ,the problem could be in the freezer plug , the cord or the cord conections to the freezer.

ayeshaF,,i woke up tis morning and my kenmore chest freezer 5.1 cu ft. was warming up and the meat inside was thrawing out, it been 1yr. and 6 mon. since i had my freezer what can be the problem?
