SOURCE: picture will freeze.

Either the disc is scrathed or you have to remove the cover and take a q-tip with rubbing alcohol and clean the lens.

SOURCE: acer 6920 blue ray problems

I have had the same poblems after buying my lap top from Currys. I emailed acer and all they would say is that all of the warranties have been taken over buy PC WORLD who are the same company. They then said that i should contact the tech guys. The tech guys tell you to restore to factory settings which tales off anything that you have already put on the computer. I then contacted the software tech guys £1.50 a minute line and the bloke i spoke to said that it was the fourth call that he had recieved that morning and the advice that he gave me was to return the computer as it was less than a month old and state that it was not fit for purpose. I took the lap top back to Currys and explained what i had been told to do. In the end they installed Power DVD 8 on my computer which allows me to play all blu rays on the computer. However i still can't connect the acer up to my HD eady tv without it freezing. It appears that the software supplied is absolutely **** but acer are happy to let you get on with it. The only real solution is to obtain third party software and update your graphics drivers. In time hopefully acer will release better edition of the pre installed software.
It is a real shame as the laptop is great apart from this blu ray issue which seems to be a well known problem as it is mentioned on many forums.
I hope this assists

SOURCE: DVDs freeze every few seconds while playing

this could be from a number of issues. first is it a home made disk? second the type of changer you are using?

home made disks can be fixed by using a + or - disk depending on the disk and what the drive likes.

as for the second issue it could be a cooling issue or the lens might be dirty try blowing it out with some can air and try to use a lens cleaner disk. they should be able to sell one for about $5 - $10

Hi there.

I too had this problem.
After checking a few things i decided to sent it in
for warranty. Acer replaced the motherboard as they discovered
a north bridge failure.

My Panasonic Strada CN-HDS620D Car radio/dvd only plays for 50 seconds then freezes for over 5 minutes. Buttons also freeze and it's in japanese. Kindly assist.

It seems like you're encountering some issues with your Panasonic Strada CN-HDS620D car radio/DVD player. The freezing and button unresponsiveness, along with the language being set to Japanese, can be frustrating. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem: 1. Reset the device: Look for a small reset button on the front panel or the side of the device. You can use a small pin or paperclip to press and hold the reset button for a few seconds. This will reset the device to its factory settings. Note that this will erase any customized settings or saved data. 2. Check the disc: Make sure the DVD disc you are using is clean and free from scratches or dirt. A damaged or dirty disc can cause playback issues. Try cleaning the disc gently with a soft, lint-free cloth and insert it again to see if the freezing issue persists. 3. Check the power supply: Ensure that the car radio/DVD player is receiving a stable power supply. Check the wiring and connections to make sure they are secure and not loose. If the power supply is unstable, it can cause the device to freeze or malfunction. 4. Language settings: If the device is set to Japanese and you're not familiar with the language, you can try changing the language settings. Look for an "Options" or "Settings" menu on the device's display. Navigate through the menus to find the language settings and change it to your preferred language. If the above steps don't resolve the issue, it's recommended to consult the user manual for specific troubleshooting steps or contact Panasonic customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional guidance or recommend a professional service center if needed. I hope these suggestions help you resolve the freezing and language issue with your Panasonic Strada CN-HDS620D car radio/DVD player. Let me know if you have any further questions or need more assistance!
