You need to use iTunes to add music to your ipod.

www.apple.com/itunes <-go there to download the software.

once it's installed, plug your ipod into the computer and you're ready to start adding music!

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable tothe MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.Click on this link for instruction on converting musicfiles to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

I cant put music on my ipod touch with windows media player

You cannot use the iPod touch with Windows Media Player, you can only use the iPod touch with iTunes. You need to download iTunes and when you install iTunes make sure it is set to automatically search your computer for music. iTunes will find all of your Windows Media Player songs, convert them for use on the iPod and then you can synchronize your iPod with the iTunes software.

I can not import music from windovs media player library to load into ipod

Hi..

Of course you can not import music from windows media player to your ipod, because windows media player is only a player. So you need to locate were is the music located. Once you can reach now were is the music located. You can easily copy the music and paste it in the music files in your ipod.

Hw do i add musc from my window media player

Normally you need to use Itunes to upload songs into Ipod, if you want to transfer songs directly from Media player you will need to install a software like MediaMonkey
If you want to upload songs from WMP without installing additional software you can also follow instructions below:

Ipod nano 2gb

You can get the files from an online music service like iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, Limewire, Bearshare, etc. Or you can use Windows Media Player 10 or 11 to "Rip" songs from a CD - I would reccommend ripping them in mp3 format.

Adding files from IPod Nano GB to work computer

IPod isn't compatible with Windows Media player. You have to use ITunes to manage your music files. Ipods use mp3, mp4, a protected form of mp4 unique to apple, and aac format. aac format isn't recognized by windows media player.
