PS3 won't play says loading continuously

i got the same problem only with my ps3 it froze while i was playing black ops online so i turned off the power n after i restarted my ps3 he could not read any game discs anymore, im now busy with reformatting my ps3 i dont know about the xbox but maybe u also have the abbility to reformat ur system if so do it but put ur saved files on a usb stick or on somthing els cus u will loose everything but ur system gets a clean start and it checks for system errors wich come by shutting off the power wile it was not ment to and fixes them

Hi your laser is bad or dirty. I'm assuming bad as when it froze during your game thats when the laser went out. So you will need to get a new laser.

Have you tried calling an injener

Restart the system. Press the power button on the system front for 10 secs or more. This will force the system to shut down. After some time turn on the system again. Also check the system is in a place where it is getting enough air to cool down as over heating also tend to shut down the sysytem

I had the same problem with GTA4.  I had to get an update for the game.  Check the website for updates for that game.  I also had to change a setting with the way it connects to the network.

Try playing a Demo game, if you dont have any download it from playstation network. The point is just to force the sytem to play games and if you notice, movies and games are listed under a different folder in the icon's list, so playing a demo game will force the system to play the game and you should be able to play your games fine after that,. Thing is that a game's info might've got stuck in freeze mode when the system was shut off unproperly while a game disk was still inside, that's all. Good luck, dont wanna see any PS3 comrades suffering the unspeakable horridness of not been able to play games. Be strong my friend.

sent to Sony for repair under warranty(luckily)
they sent to Mexico for cheap repair.

the blue ray laser has two high energy beams at 450nm(bluelight) and 730nm (redlight). the highpower diode on your machine im afraid has failed (due to the extreme heat conditions in ur PS3). you need to install a new laser ..only 100 i charge or 160 from sony (150+TAX 2 week wait)
Now if you have the newer model laser KES410ACA, then you have 2 SEPARATE light sources...these tend not to fail as often

sounds like the blu ray diode is burnt.
Send it to Sony for warranty replacement
