Wireless Speakers Not Working ...

Same issue. I'm convinced that mine only gives me this problem when i'm really in the mood to watch something. Let my wife bring home "the notebook DVD" and voila the rear speakers'll work just fine. Like nothing was ever wrong. Oh but let it be a day where no one's home and I got 12 hours to myself and all I wanna do is play Halo. Mmmhm, REAR CHK. I got the SWA4000 and it came with the system. Mine doesn't always do it. Just ... only when I really feel like doing something. Like I said earlier. I ... I hate this system. And i did all that stuff from earlier, the umm 0,1,3,5 and the pulling the card out and the pressing of buttons on the back and going into the menu and turning rear speakers off. Swear to god ... hate ... this system. LoL hope this helps. Maybe someone can try fooling it by genuinly not wanting to watch something and then having their spouse bring home a chic flick. THEN right when it's working throw in like XMEN or I am legend or you know whatever movie it is you wanna watch in surround. That's my problem/solution.

Wireless speakers are not connecting to the box all the other speakers are working except for the two wireless ones we have followed all of the instructions in the manual but they still are not working the...

Hi,
Wireless speakers needs power to run ,unless they are powered by battery (to be loaded into speaker modules) ,I believe you connected each of the wireless speaker to 110 VAC power plug and the transmitter module as well..
Before connecting them to your Samsung htd-d550 ,I recommend you test them with something else,i.e..NOTEBOOK Audio output or MP3 player headphones output...
if you succeed then you can connect it to your Samsung..
Please make a simple test to make sure wireless speakers are working and if you need more help just let me know ..
Hope this helps! Take care and please Remember to rate/vote and give me 4 Thumbs Up for me to continue for Helping out the Community :) Thanks

Center speaker and wireless rear speakers have no sound

I had the same issue, but apparently...it's not an issue. What I discovered is that the system was fine, but the station I was watching didn't broadcast in 5.1 surround sound. Therefore, only the front speakers will have sound. Try putting a dvd in, or listening to a gameing system through it. If you don't have sound after listening to something that puts out full surround sound, then you know you have an issue.

Center and rear speakers not working

In regard to the rear speakers, my system is an LG and the rear speakers will only work if the format that i'm watching (TV, DVD) is in Dolby surround sound 5.1. Normal tv will not give you surround sound unless it says otherwise, usually it will flash up on the screen at the start of the show. So test the unit with something that you know is in 5.1

What is the update required to run deskscapes

You mean dreamscapes, right?

Just visit Windows Update or look for the icon in your programs list for Windows Update. You have to have Ultimate version I believe for the dreamscapes / dreamscenes.

Just run the Windows Update and you'll see something that reads Ultimate add-ons or something.

I'm not a Vista user anymore so this is from memory. ( My bad memories...lol)

Let me know if you find it.

Best of luck!

p.s. The dreamscenes are sweet, but they draw a lot of power and at times can be distracting. I ended up shutting mine off after a day. BUT they do look really cool especially if you're in the mood to show off how cool you are ;)

Speaker doesnt give sound

Based on the fact that you have put a headset in and another speaker system and it is working properly there is nothing wrong with your windows settings. I would leave them alone. The issue appears to be with the hardware. Have you attempted to plug the speakers into another source (ie. cd player, ipod, etc)? If you plug them in there and they don't work, take the speakers back and have them exchanged. If they're not under warranty you're going to have to either get them fixed or replace them. Good luck on this one! JC
