Acme juicer motor bearing assy

Hi, I have replaced the bearings in my acme mod 6001 juicer. There is a baering end play adjustment screw and lock nut on the bottom. Does anyone know the paramiters for setting this screw ?

i have the same problem--If the screw is set loose the fan blades rub on the housing , if it is set too tight the screw pushes up directly on the engine shaft and slows it down. I think i am missing a washer, bushing or something on the lower end of the shaft/ bearing assembly

With the juicer fully assembled, loosen
the lock nut and turn adjustment screw
clockwise until feed chute contacts the
shredder blade, then back screw off a
half turn to set chute to blade gap. You
may need a new cover if the chute has
been ground down too much or else you
will have the rubbing fan problem.

Hello, I need to replace the cord on my Acme 6001 juicer that has a nick/cut in it. How do I do this.

Well, you have to remove four screws on the bottom to separate
the housing and expose the wiring. The center locking nut and
screw is for adjustment so don't mess with it. Be careful when
pulling it apart, noticing where everything belongs. If the insulation
on the individual wires are not nicked, you can just tape it up. When putting the housing together you will notice some resistance
since you will be raising the spring loaded motor shaft.

HOW DO I DISASSEMBLE ACME JUICER TO REPLACE CORD? (CLEAR TOP)

Remove 4 screws on bottom, leave center locking nut and screw
alone, and separate housing to expose wiring. Housing may be
juicy stuck together and be mindful of where everything belongs.
When reassembling you may feel resistance since you will be
raising the spring loaded motor shaft.

Hi I have an older acme supreme juicerator, model # 11je23. Do the newer baskets & lids fit this older model? Or can a guy get original parts?

Believe the basket is the same. The newer lids have a flange
around them which can be filed down. Takes time, but file away
tapering it until it fits in the juice bowl. With a new lid you may
have to adjust the chute to blade gap. On bottom loosen center
locking nut and turn adjusting screw clockwise until chute contacts
blade, then back it off a half turn and lock it down. A few older lids
are around, but it's hit and miss.

Need instructions on how to use the Acme 6001 Juicerator.

Call Waring at 1800 492 7464, they may be able to help you out. There is not
a whole lot involved here. Place the juice bowl on the base first, then the basket,
blade, secure with the clutch nut and rotate the cover to lock it in place. Watch
out they vibrate, so juice hard produce evenly and slowly.

My Acme supreme juicerator #6001 trips off several times before I can complete the process of juicing in order to get an 8oz. glass of juice. The motor spins smoothly, no vibration at all.

There is a reset button on the bottom of the
juicer. You will have to separate the base
by removing the 4 bottom screws and adjust
the sensitivity of the reset button turning the
small screw on it. Sorry, but forgot which
direction increases or decreases this. Had
to do it on my 21 year old Acme because of
the same problem.

Acme juicer vibrating so much.

I've had one for 21 years and when I replaced the blade the same thing happened.
The blade is not supposed to be held firmly in place so it can slip intentionally to
minimize vibration. If you bought the juicer new, think back, and I believe you will
remember the vibration problem. I seems with a worn blade they vibrate less. The
motor is very durable and uses roller bearings like on a skate board. I went back
to the old blade, which I sharpen with a drill using a small bit.

Toggle power switch is not moving. Can't get body separated.

THE CENTER NUT IS A LOCKING NUT TO
SECURE SET SCREW THAT LOWERS AND
RAISES THE MOTOR TO ADJUST CHUTE TO
BLADE GAP. THE 4 SCREWS RELEASE THE
BASE WHICH MUST BE JUICED TOGETHER.
KEEP TRYING IT WILL COME APART. ORDER
NEW SWX FROM WARING AT 800 492 7464.

Acme juicer #6001, has a new blade, becomes unbalanced...

Hello, First, make sure the screw on clamp that holds the blade down is centering the blade correctly. Also make sure it tightens down firmly against the blade. Wiggle the blade to ensure it is mounted securely. If this doesn' fix it try your old blade again. If your old blade works you may have a bad, unbalance blade but I would suspect he screw on clamp knob may be somewhat worn and not securing the blade causing it to run "out of round" when a piece of vegetable pushes on it. If everything looks good with both blades and the blade securing knob it could be a worn bearing on the juicer. Try wiggling the motor shaft and see if there is any play in it. I have an ACME 6001 that is quite old so I wouldn't suspect the bearings are going. One other thing, does the bowl take 3 to 5 minutes to stop spinning when you shut off the motor? If it does then the shaft and bearing are probalby ok

Good luck with it...gary
