Whirlpool dehumidifier will not pick up water

Dehumidifier will not pick up water
Is there a resest button or does it use freeon?

The unit has worked great in the past. All of a sudden it will not pick up water. The bucket is bone dry. What can I do?

DITTO! I have had my unit for about three years…worked great. Now it won’t collect water, compressor is not coming on. Where do you go to get a relay switch to see if that is the problem?

No water collection and compressor tries to turn on and then shuts off immediately. Everything else about the machine runs great.

I have cleaned the radiator which was dusty.

Yup. Same problem. Bone dry -- seems the condenser is not coming on. So we've all got the problem. Anyone have any solutions to share?

The fan works, but the compressor only comes on in extreme humidity, i.e., letting the shower run on hot and the bathroom gets really steamy. I need it to work in not so extreme conditions!

Typically there are one or two reasons why your dehumidifier is not collecting water. Either the setting might be set too high or not enough moisture in the room. I suggest changing the set point to a lower setting. Ashumiditydrops in the room the amount of water will decrease and very little water may be generated even when in continuous mode. If these basictroubleshootingtips prove ineffective, then your dehumidifier may possibly have system issues. Is your dehumidifier still in warranty? If so, you might want to reach out directly to the manufacturer to determine the coverage on your dehumidifier and the procedures to any potential remedy in that regard. Best!

Unit does not work efficiently anymore. I will run unit for hours in damp environment and it picks up just a small amount of water.
