Hi Yvonne
"FreeView"
You must be in Australia. Like me.
I would assume that you have pulled the power out & reset the unit. I don't have the freeview box but they can be similar to other set top boxes.
Does the user manual indicate that holding down certain buttons on startup will cause a reset?
Some of these units have an internal backup battery to keep your parameters in memory. Often not user accessible.
But in emergency, the battery (if you find it) can be given a quick short with a jumper wire to reset it.
Otherwise You might need a tech to look at it or swap it out
Good Luck
Hello I can't download the user manual to your device. Now I'm in Indial. There is a link to wonload the manual, but net settigns dow not allow me to download the same. I hereby send that link to you. Just try to download its user manual. If any detail you want, it will be there. OK.
Try this. Open up your pc cam then point the remote straight at the cam. You should see pulsating light on the computer screen as you look at the cams video. This tells you ar least that the remote is working fine.

Hi
I had the same problem. The answer is to use a scart lead on the freeview box and connect it to the input/output scart on the DVD. Then connect a scart lead from the TV out on the DVD to the TV.
You then press Video source on the DVD remote until 'scart' is displayed to pick the freeview channels.
Hope that helps
