The Olympus people told me to to to

The Olympus people told me to go to www.olympusamerica.com/files/dssplayer.zip and save to desktop - a hundred sites come up - what do I save to desktop? The 2nd step is go to the link for Vista/XP 2000 and download that update as well...I am supposed to ''extract'' etc. ?? Thank you! My pc crashed and I now have a pc with Vista....trying to download update in order to download my transcription from my Olympus digital voice recorder DS 350

Copy & paste the link they gave you (everything within the 'www' to the '.zip') and paste it in your address bar at the very top of your browser (not your search engine field). This is a direct link and will prompt you to open or save the file. Choose 'Save' and then save it to your desktop. You'll have to extract the .zip file once you've downloaded it.

And I assume they gave you another link for the Vista/XP2000 update? Do the same thing as I mentioned above.

I lost original CD for DS-2; how to get software?

olympusamerica.com/files/dssplayer.zip is the download link for DSS player but you will have to call Olympus for a replacement key. I have found it works best to SAVE and then install the download. They did not give me a hard time about getting a new key.
