The post is a little unclear, but I will assume you are attempting to say that your remote works with the cable box but not the television.

If you are using the remote that came with the cable box, you will probably need to re-program it using the codes in the back of the cable box manual. If you are using a universal remote, you will still have to re-program it, but those codes are in the manual for the universal remote.

If you cannot find a code in the books, there is an alternate method of programming the remotes using a search function. The exact steps will be available in the respective remote manual.

Are you using the cable box remote on the cable box or the coby remote on the cable box? or are you using the cable box remote on the TV or the coby remote on the TV? Try using the coby remote on the TV without the cable box connected first to see if the remote even works on the TV, replace the batteries and retry. then try the cable box remote on the TV to see if you have it set up correctly for that TV. Sometimes when you reprogram a remote to work other devices the buttons won't always end up working the commands that are labled on the remote, also there is more than 1 code that may work better than other codes or may match up with the labeled keys more closely. Low batteries will also make a remote act strangely.make sure the batteries also make good contact on the pins or metal pieces inside the remote. I guess I need more info on which remotes are being used for what purpose before I could give a more certain answer.

A variety of remote control codes can be found at InsigniaProducts.com. Failing that, try codes for the following brands: Orion, Emerson, Memorex, Sansui, Sylvania, Zenith.

The “cablevision remote” will have to be programmed to work the LG TV.
The programming directions should be in the “cablevision remote” user book, online, and or you could call your cable provider for the directions on how to program the remote.

Hello Monica24g. I also have Cablevision and found the codes I was looking for. I assume you have an Audiovox (fpe1907) television. Here are some codes you can try: 076 103 043 035 224 228 078. Press the "TV" button and the "SELECT" simultaneously for 3 seconds. The IO button will light up. Enter one of the codes, then press the "TV" button again. I hope this helps!

If you are a DirecTV or Cox subscriber, you may sync a universal remote to your television using code 1548 or 11548.

These codes are for use with the following Coby television models:
TFTV1022, TFTV1212, TFTV1513, TFTV1514, TFTV1524, TFTV1913, TFTV1923, TFTV2214, TFTV2224, TFTV2617, TFTV3217, TFTV3717, TFTV4717

If the codes do not work, or if you are not a DirecTV or Cox customer, the universal remote control manufacturer is responsible for creating and embedding a Coby-compatible code in the remote control. Please contact your cable carrier or the universal remote control manufacturer for assistance.

sorry...........cablevision remote does not have (not even default) code...i've tried too....use the olevia remote to control tv,cable,vcr (lol) and dvd (or universal remote)....olevia, vizo are brand new devices and not in any remote catalogs before 2007
