You can check the following things:
1. Blu-ray player audio settings
2. HDMI cable connection error
3. Incompatibility between your Blu-ray player and TV
4. Blu-ray discs damage or restriction.
Have you recently used headphones in this device? I have a portable DVD player that had a similar problem. It thought that headphones were plugged in and that turned the sound in the external speakers off. If i plugged in headphones the sound worked in them. So I jiggled the headphone plug in while in the jack and removed it and the sound came back on.
I doubt that it is from that. Usually speakers will just blow and sound horrible if you damage them in that way. I don't know what it could be then.I doubt that it is from that. Usually speakers will just blow and sound horrible if you damage them in that way. I don't know what it could be then.

sounds funny anyway i know when i want to watch a movie thats all i want to do. dont want to be download any software or anything... anyway please download vlc player ( http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ ) this will play almost anything u throw at it...it just works period. it sounds like a virus but i would need some more info make sure ur antivirus software is up to date and please run windows update and also make sure all third party applications are up to date.
Try using the password 136900. If this works for you, then using your remote, access the general setup menu and choose the Disc Unlock option.
Hope this helps!!
Today with HD High Definition TV these kind of problems appears because the new dvd players have more video resolution options, so, for playing all variety of dvd, and home done dvs,s (like family movies on dvd) you need set up your resolution video on your DVD player at 480i or 480p option, not higher because some DVD movies (mainly oldies) have lower resolution than newer , for example new movies on HD format have 1080 P resolution, and if you have this option chosen in your DVD player you only can see this kind of videos, on the other hand if you have chosen 480i or 480 p on your dvd player , you can play all dvd formats including home movies made with any movie software, in this way you can play dvd-r and +r movies and of cours you can play HD movies also.So put some dvd where your dvd player works well (you need see the dvd menu in the tv screen), then press stop. Then press setup in your remote control, go to video resolution and choose 480 I or 480p, then press ok AND ENJOY THE MOVIE. Smart techniques
If you go to sharp global web site, choose your country then go to downloads to download update, can be done for cd or usb stick, if you use cd version can burn to disk using nero 9 which is availble as free trail on net. then put disk in player and it will update on own. should correct problem
You dont need any extra text files they dont have any information just bogus, try using a different player to watch the videos and no I dont belive you need to include them when burning use a rewritable for a test incase!
Thread 2: encoding in avi http://www.fixya.com/support/t2172448-want_creat_good_quality_avi_videos_mp3
If
after updating your firmware and using either ArcSoft, or the encoding
method used in the thread above, and you're still not getting sound,
let me know.
Sounds like you may not have finalised the disk after recording it. You can't do this without the remote control, so you may have to buy another. My remote was broken and I got an exact Panasonic replacement from tvbitz.com or you can get them on ebay sometimes - part number IRC85049. When the disk is finalised you should be able to play it on any DVD machine. Steve
