Well some televisions you can get a new remote for it that is the same remote you got with it, otherwise you should ask a electrician that can maybe in further detail tell you whats wrong. I hope I helped! :D

Bad parts on your power supply board need testing and replacing....when you get the tv serviced be sure to tell the technician to install higher quality parts. ILO tends to use low-grade components that warp very quickly as their not designed to handle excessive heat for long periods of time. This is a very common problem with ILO and Akai tv's....

if the tv is under warranty take it back...

I use a Logitech Remote for my ILO...it works great.

same here model lct42ha36 for less than 90 days some say you can take it back to walmart, hurry. you can call ilo at 800-216-5156 with model and s/n and they will give you a number for akai 800-428-1105 or tatung 888-428-1105 to call depending on which made it. I called akai and they had me fax a copy of receipt and the transaction number they gave me to set up a in home repair by a service center at no cost they say (i hope) it is cover for one year parts and labor and you can go back within 90 days and buy extended warrenty for 2 more years for about $60. I'm over 90 days so i'm going through the process. Repost to this site and let me know how it goes. I'll repost if I can with a follow up when they come out.

Hey you should try finding an exact replacement for this ilo hdtv. If you have your model number for your ILO hdtv you can go to a website like http://www.remotecontrolscenter.com and look through their catalog for a new replacement remote control, which is the exact same remote you got in the box with your ILO TV and should work right out of the box, unlike most universal remote controls. If they can't help, there are alot of other major replacement remote companies out there! Hope I helped!

Ilo is apparently made by a few different manufacturers for Wal-Mart. Try Emerson, Funai, Akai or Tatung universal remote codes. I have read that the Emerson works most frequently.
