Basically no use, unless you are setting it up and need to refer to a setting chart to insure it is reading in a specific range.

SOURCE: Problems with Intex Krystal Clear Model 635 Pool Filter Pump 1500

No, the pump should not be noisy. It sounds like you have picked up a foreign object in the pump housing. you may have to pull the face off to determine. OR the pump/motor is indeed defective and should be returned.

SOURCE: How to change sand in Hayward S-200 Sand filter

hayward S-180 filter takes 150lbs, S-210 takes 200lbs not familur with the S-200. To change sand you have to remove the vari flow valve on top. You can either unplumb the filter and roll it over on its side and try washing the sand out or try scooping it out upright. Whatever you do dont damage the laterals on the bottom of the filter. When refilling with sand you want to make sure all the laterals are undamaged and in the down position. I always fill the filter half full of water to keep the sand from damaging the laterals while re-filling the filter with sand. Make sure you use pool filter sand and not play sand!

SOURCE: I have a 15x 42" intex metal frame pool an i also

Most likely you are not. The manual is very conservative!!! I have a 14000 gallon pool and I run my intex salt system during the summer at 10 to 12 hrs pump and 8 to 10 hrs chlorination in between those 12 hrs and my pool stays very clear. But..... If you don't clean the unit and let it alarm for low flow, low salt or not run the unit log enough, you WILL HAVE GREEN WATER!!!
Hope this helps, If it does, please rate the tip!

Wish to upgrade cartridge filter pump to sand filter pump. Pool size 15' X 48" / pump 1000 gph - 637R /Item no 56945 Which intex sand filter is the best one?

First, understand that sand doesn't filter as finely as cartridges, so "upgrade" may be the wrong word. Cartridges filter down to about 10 microns, sand filters to 25-30 microns. (i.e.the cartridge will catch particles up to 3X smaller than sand will.)

If you still want to change, get the biggest sand filter available that you can comfortably afford. For superior results look at above ground pump/filter packages built by Hayward or Pentair. Intex products are just built to margin and are not designed for long term usage.

Impeller in intex model 635 broken where can I buy replacement part?

A late answer but it might help future Intex impleller sufferers... they do not sell replacement parts and you won't find any impellers sold separately anywhere on the planet. I've had 1 Intex pool and 3 Intex filter pumps in 3 years. Last week the 3rd pump's impeller broke as well. I shan't buy their products again.

My wife and i bought a 16 by 48 in. ultra frame intex pool. we had profesionals level the ground, we have a sandy base, and after filling our pool with water and the legs settled, the pool is approx. 2 in....

There won't be any structural problems and you will notice the difference more than anyone else. If you redo the pool next year it will help to set each leg on a patio brick so it won't settle.

When you set up a metal frame intex pool is it best to set it on sand or is there another way to set it up

Sand is always the best way to go. This way if the pool frame, liner, or even the ground shift a little it has no ill effects. The sand just conforms to whatever is on top of it and to a degree, whatever is below it as well. Soft soil works okay, but it depends on the part of the country you are in. Definitely not good to try on hard ground or anywhere there are rocks and debris.

Same as others with Krystal clear model 635 pump.

We too have an Intex pool and opted to not waste money on their pumps which arent adequate enough to properly filter the pool. We bought a nice sand filter system off a great seller on amazon for $305 delivered. (DO NOT BUY "GAME" system for intex pools, my sister bought one and has had nothing but problems and just bought 5 weeks ago).

We are very happy with the results from our Waterway sand filter system. We did not have to buy any adapters to fit it to our pool. And it keeps the water perfect! We have an 18' x 52 metal frame pool. If you intend on using your pool for years, I recommend buying a sand filter system. It is more expensive than replacing the intex pump, but you will be much happier with the sand filter system.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
